Exam overview
SIDBI Grade A Officer 2026 is conducted by the Small Industries Development Bank of India — India's principal development financial institution dedicated to MSME promotion, financing, and development — to recruit Grade A Officers in General (Assistant Manager) and Specialist streams (IT, Finance, Legal, HR). The role offers a Pay Scale of Rs. 44,500–89,150 per month with a total CTC including allowances of approximately Rs. 16–18 lakh per annum, one of the highest among development finance institution recruitment at entry grade.
SIDBI Grade A selection involves three stages: Phase 1 Online Screening (objective, qualifying), Phase 2 Main Exam (objective + descriptive), and Interview. The exam heavily tests knowledge of the MSME sector, government schemes like PM SVANidhi and CGTMSE, financial inclusion, and development banking. Aspirants should prepare deeply in areas of MSME financing, economic policy, and professional knowledge relevant to their stream. With an age ceiling of 28 years (general category), the competition is strong but the compensation and career growth at SIDBI are among the best in the development finance space.
