Exam overview
JPSC Civil Services Examination is conducted by the Jharkhand Public Service Commission to recruit officers for Jharkhand Administrative Service (JAS), Jharkhand Police Service (JPS), and other Group A and Group B gazetted posts in Jharkhand state government. The exam covers 200+ vacancies across departments and is the primary route to prestigious state government administrative careers in Jharkhand, one of India's mineral-rich states with a large tribal population.
Preparation for JPSC Civil Services requires focused study of Jharkhand history, tribal culture, forest rights, mining and mineral policy, state economy, and current affairs. The exam has three stages spanning over a year; candidates should concentrate on descriptive answer writing for Mains and develop strong awareness of Jharkhand government schemes and tribal welfare programs. Hindi language is the primary medium and is tested as a compulsory paper.
Preparation tip
Start with the syllabus topics listed above, then practice timed mock tests and revise previous year questions weekly.
