About this exam
REET 2026 (Rajasthan Eligibility Examination for Teachers) is conducted by RBSE for certifying candidates for Rajasthan government school teaching posts in Class 1-5 (Level 1) and Class 6-8 (Level 2). 30,000+ teacher vacancies unlocked via REET score. 150 MCQs, no negative marking, 2.5 hours per level. Minimum 60% (Gen), 55% (reserved) to qualify. REET certificate has permanent validity. Exam September 21, 2026; application last date July 20, 2026.
Eligibility
- Level 1 (Class 1–5): Senior Secondary (12th) with 50%+ marks AND 2-year D.El.Ed, or B.El.Ed, or graduation with B.Ed
- Level 2 (Class 6–8): Graduation with 50%+ marks AND 2-year D.El.Ed or B.Ed (relevant subject)
- Age limit: 18 to 40 years with relaxation for reserved categories
- Rajasthan domicile preferred for state teacher recruitment based on REET score

- Child Development and Pedagogy (Level 1 & 2)
- Language I — Hindi, English, Sanskrit, Urdu, Sindhi, Punjabi, Gujarati (Level 1 & 2)
- Language II — Hindi, English, Sanskrit (Level 1 & 2)
- Mathematics and Science (Level 2 — Science & Maths teacher)
- Social Studies (Level 2 — Social Studies teacher)
- Environmental Studies (Level 1)
Exam Pattern
- Level 1 (Primary, Class 1–5): 150 MCQs — Child Development (30), Language I (30), Language II (30), Maths (30), EVS (30), 2.5 hours
- Level 2 (Upper Primary, Class 6–8): 150 MCQs — Child Development (30), Language I (30), Language II (30), Science/Social Studies (60), 2.5 hours
- Each correct answer: 1 mark; No negative marking
- Minimum qualifying marks: 60% (90/150) for General; 55% (82/150) for SC/ST/OBC/PWD
- REET certificate is valid for a lifetime (permanent validity)
